We discovered a museum that we really enjoyed: the Museum of Models of Luxembourg Castles and Battles. A real gem! You probably already know that Luxembourg is full of castles dating back to the Middle Ages (and beyond). Well, imagine that you'll be able to admire 22 of the country's most beautiful buildings and villages, all rendered at a scale of 1:100, in less than an afternoon! The models are WONDERFULLY well-crafted. Each one is the result of a masterful work, blending history, architecture, and passion. Here you can (re)discover the castles of Vianden, Bourscheid and Esch-sur-Sûre... in a fun and informative tour. It's the perfect opportunity to dive into the Grand Duchy's medieval past on a rainy day or even to do a little scouting of the next castles to visit (in real size this time) ;). Suitable for young and old alike, the tour can be done at your own pace. Your ticket also includes the neighboring exhibition on the Battle of the Bulge, also so well represented. There, you can discover documents, uniforms, authentic weapons, reconstructed scenes, old packs of chewing gum, canned goods... dating from the Battle of the Bulge. In short, a museum that is definitely worth a visit, and at a very low price too.
