An Impossible Fever to Negotiate (Lola Lafon)
It happened on September 14. An unsuspected man raped Landra. Landra tries to recover her shattered intimacy and stand up, despite the fear holding her hand. Driven by her anger, she meets the autonomous group Étoiles Noires Express. With these people, in early 21st-century Paris, she attempts a life of solidarity and collectivity in squats, actively fighting against capitalism that destroys people and souls. Landra rebuilds herself through contact with her human sisters and brothers. Thanks to shared words with other women who have been raped, she will break the imposed silence and file a complaint. Towards a possible reconstruction? Landra’s journey is performed by Aïcha Rapsaet in a one-woman show, whose rhythm and musicality are fueled by urgent, poetic, and incandescent words. Marked by symbolic elements, the "journey," directed by Joël Delsaut, is initiated by body and acting. Aïcha creates the space from Landra’s inner world, helped by Lola Lafon’s powerful words, propelled by music, taking the audience with her. A journey as an attempt to “speak” the rape.
