André Bauler reads excerpts from the book by his father, Pierre Bauler, entitled 'Beschwerliche Zeiten'. The performance is in German. The book covers childhood memories during World War II, from the occupation to fleeing during the Battle of the Bulge. Pierre Bauler describes his experiences as a child at the beginning of the Ardennes offensive, when he and his family had to leave their home village in haste on 16 December 1944. This work is a testimony of resilience and humanity during a difficult period.
