Open Floor: House Dance is a dance jam where people practice freely to house music. It is a safe space where amateurs and professionals come together and share a friendly moment, sometimes with a DJ. House dance is a social dance to house music that blends salsa, capoeira, tap-dance, bboying, etc. It originated in the clubs of Chicago and New York during the 1970s and 1980s. The dance is improvised and focuses on fast and complex steps, bounces, and floorwork. All levels are welcome.
