Show & CultureShow & CultureEvery Wednesday, join the KnowEdge community to learn house dance and discover your own dance potential! Open Floor: House Dance is a dance jam where participants practice freely to house music. It is a friendly space where amateurs and professionals gather and share a moment together, sometimes with a DJ. House dance is a social dance style developed in the clubs of Chicago and New York during the 1970s and 1980s, blending salsa, capoeira, tap-dance, bboying, and more. The dance is improvised and emphasizes fast and complex footwork, bouncing, and floorwork. All levels welcome.
