Open Floor: House Dance is a dance jam where you can practice freely to house music. It's a safe space where amateurs and professionals gather and share a friendly moment together, sometimes with a DJ. House dance is a social dance to house music that mixes salsa, capoeira, tap dance, bboying, etc. It appeared in the 1970s and 1980s in clubs in Chicago and New York. The house dance practiced here is improvised and emphasizes fast and complex steps, bouncing, and floor work. Open to all levels.
