Show & CultureShow & CultureEvery Wednesday, join the KnowEdge community to learn house dance and discover your dancing potential! Open Floor: House Dance is a dance jam where you can practice freely to house music. It is a safe space for amateurs and professionals to come together and share a friendly moment, sometimes with a DJ. House dance is a social dance to house music that blends salsa, capoeira, tap-dance, bboying, and more. Originating in the 1970s and 1980s in Chicago and New York clubs, the style practiced here is improvised, focused on fast and complex steps, rebounds, and floorwork.
