This workshop offers an introduction to chakras, energy centers described in the traditions of yoga and Ayurveda. Through an accessible approach that respects their origins, participants will explore the symbolism of the seven main chakras and their role in yoga philosophy. The workshop will alternate between theoretical contributions and practical experiences such as breathing, gentle movements, meditation, visualization, and relaxation to better understand this traditional approach and experiment with tools promoting self-awareness. It will cover the origins of chakras in the traditions of yoga and tantra, the symbolism of the seven main chakras and their qualities and representations, the connection between chakras, emotions, and major life themes, as well as simple practices inspired by yoga. A time for personal reflection and exchange will also be offered. The objectives of this workshop are to discover the concept of chakras in its historical and philosophical context, understand the symbolism of the seven main chakras, experiment with yoga-inspired practices that promote relaxation and introspection, develop a better self-knowledge through this traditional framework, and leave with simple tools to integrate into one's personal practice.
