“I believe in surface” is Katharina Gierlach’s first solo exhibition in Luxembourg. The artist presents landscape paintings which, through their impasto technique, almost appear as reliefs. Inspired in particular by Claude Monet and Egon Schiele, she has developed a powerful, dynamic style marked by a vibrant palette and the rhythmic recurrence of motifs.
